Flying Stars is one of the most famous Feng Shui formula known to beginners, practitioners and even professionals. The system is quite easy to understand and with proper education and experience, it can give a quite spot-on analysis.

Basically, the are nine Stars in Flying Stars and we want to understand each personality of the Stars and when they meet with each other what kind of relationship they have. In total there are eighy one combination. Practitioners whose specialty is Flying Stars could give you a compact yet rich analysis or a snipet of people’s life whenever they see the house condition.

Despite the great followers and practitioners of Flying Stars Feng Shui, it is also prone to misconceptions. Let’s start!

Misconceptions #01 Completely Ignore the Environment

When the landform itself is no good and Qi 氣 is not present, there is only so far your formula can deliver its results. Therefore, landform comes first.

The academy that I joined years ago starting the Feng Shui course by introducing Flying Stars first. The reason why usually we start learning from Flying Stars first is because it is easier compared to the other formula.

You will unlikely make a grave mistake unless you disturb the 5 Yellow Star, which your neighbour student will never stress you enough, how important it is to take care the 5 Yellow Star and not disturbing it under any circumstances.

“One important factor is, they didn’t miss to explain that environment plays a B.I.G. role in any Feng Shui formula. Qi 氣 can’t be created and destroyed. Qi 氣 comes from the landform.”

Flying Stars Feng Shui specifically being applied indoor, where there are four-walls set up as the boundary. Since we are looking inwardly, most people ignore the environment and focusing on playing mix and match indoor.

If you have been practicing Flying Stars and find out that the set up is not working according to your plan, this could be one of the reason your formula is not effective. You forget to count what is happening outside.

Whoever you are, beginner or practitioner who wants to apply Flying Star Feng Shui, don’t forget to look outside and examine. Then, you can play mix and match the Stars inside. Out first, then inside.

Misconception #02 Doing Many Activations at Once

Activation means that either we can use a certain sector for our needs and or put water as a tool for activation. We use this words a lot in the practice and community.

I understand this feeling all too well. Right after I finished the course, I wanted to rearrange my sleeping and working arrangements to suit my needs and goals.

This is unfortunately not a unique problem. I guess many beginners do it the way I do. Immediately, I want to apply and see results. If you have the same kind of mindet, I must tell you that most times, it is not working.

Even if there’s an improvement in your life, you will be too busy to pay attention to it. And… beginners usually have no idea what kind of feeling Qi 氣 works and affects them.

It is best that you choose one technique that you want to try, the most crucial one first, then see what happen.

P.S. Especially Water Activation, it is best to do it with a supervision of professional.

Misconception #03 ONLY Use Flying Stars to Solve Problems

Each Feng Shui formula is not created equal. It doesn’t mean that one formula is better than the other. It’s simply different problem calls for different set of medication.

Flying Stars mostly suitable for small-medium size property. If you want to know, gestimate around 1,000 sqm maximum for effective application. Bigger than that, the formula might not be working as effective as you hope for. There will be too many rooms within one sector and it could cause confusion.

The smaller the house, the better it is. Just like apartments in Hong Kong, the space is limited. Therefore, it is easier to apply Flying Stars in these apartments compared to a 2,000 sqm house.

Beginners, practitioners and professionals are encourage to study different formula to broaden the mindset and creativity to be able to find the best suitable solusion for their problems.

Believing any of these misconceptions could lead to hope for ‘magical’ results and outcome, which I totally don’t suggest it.

Feng Shui doesn’t talk about empty hope and fast results. Sure is some formula are easier to be applied than other, like Flying Stars. Failing to understand this might lead you to confusion as people could easily plant some misleading ideas about Feng Shui.

Flying Stars Feng Shui is considered a faster formula to deliver results. When I talk fast, it starts from one to three years until you start seeing results.
